Today, we learnt about a passage of a scence from the Merchant of Venice. We got two passage. One is to do in the class while the second is our homework but we read the text together as a class. We had only 10 minutes to complete out first worksheet. The lesson was taught by doing the worksheet first then do through the worksheet together. My Chua used the 'Bottle of Happiness'to choose the five of us. The passage is about Shylock wanted to cut one pund of flesh from Antonio. We learn to read and understand the passage. After understanding, I know that Antonio is a villian because he call Shylock a misbeliever, cut-throat dog and he spit upon Shylock's Jewish clothes. Although Antonio wanted to sacrifice his life to Bassanio, he is racist as he call Shylock's religion names.

I felt that the lesson was good. The part when i learnt more about the Merchant of Venice was fun,great and interestiong. Most of the time used for our lesson was fine but some can be improved. For example, the noise level can be more quieter than before.

I can apply to be more non-racist to my personal life. Besides than being non-racist, we can have friends from different races and not to say anything bad about other races. Singaproe is a multi-racial country. Singapore is relevant to our lesson because since that Singapore is a multi-raical country, Sinaporeans is still learning to be non-racist.
